Artful Accessibility

Updated: Aug 7

Over the years, we've seen quite a bit of resistance when partnering with public and private spaces to create meaningful work when it comes to accessibility.

Access to accessible restrooms, ramps, or even requests for large print on documents have often been denied or viewed as " special treatment " and not forms of responsible accommodation.

Most recently while partnering with a major Denver - based organization, we requested ASL interpreters for an event, only to receive push back and questions around the actual need for the service.

In our disappointment, we resolved to channel the frustration that we, and so many people normalize daily into a force for good.

Introducing Artful Accessibility, an inspired and heart-centered response to the lack of awareness around the importance of accessibility for those navigating disability.

Through Artful Accessibility groups, associtations and organizations can:

Identify areas of opportunity that can be utilized as springboards for organizational growth, wellness and expansion in support of accessibility

Address challenges known and unknown through development of an accessibility plan that honors your company’s mission and values

Foster a culture that acknowledges the value of accessibility through meaningful quarterly workshops and informative professional development sessions

Available services include:

Accessibility Assessments for the Workplace and Public Spaces

Accessibility Policy and Planning services

Professional Development Workshops Anchored in Accessibility and Inclusion
