This fall marks three years since we arrived in Denver. As I reflect on God's faithfulness, I am reminded of how we rolled into town with nothing more than a dream, an adorable toddler, and our belongings in an SUV. Leaving behind family members, dear colleagues, and a home in Louisiana, we prayerfully moved with intention in pursuit of a more progressive upbringing for our daughter.
We moved to Colorado six months before the pandemic, but even in the midst of a global crisis and heart-breaking social unrest, God protected our family and blessed our business.
And God did it...through you.
Your prayers, patronage and partnership afforded us the opportunity to serve and encourage thousands through our work. Yes, literally thousands.
In just three years, Duplessis Art has produced solo art shows and led artist talks in Colorado, New Mexico, Louisiana and the Caribbean.
This summer, we curated a city-wide art exhibition in celebration of the extraordinary courage and capacity of City workers in Broomfield, Colorado.
Many thanks to the Broomfield Leader for writing such a moving overview of the Capacity through Creativity program we developed for the City and County of Broomfield. Click HERE to read or listen to the story.
Oh, and here's a list of two history-making events taking place in September and October.
